School without Racism –
School with Courage
On 02 February 2024, we were officially welcomed into the “School without Racism – School with Courage” network.
This makes the Dr. Selma Graf Nursing School one of more than 4.400 schools across Germany where students and staff actively stand for equal rights and against all forms of discrimination.
As a Courage School, we receive support for our activities from the network’s state, regional and national coordination teams, as well as its partner organisations—and of course from our patron, the Willy-Aron-Gesellschaft e.V. in Bamberg.
The Willy-Aron-Gesellschaft e.V. is dedicated to supporting academic research on the resistance movement in Bamberg and to promoting civic courage, democracy and human dignity.
“School without Racism – School with Courage” stands for a school culture that is sensitive to discrimination and for a long-term commitment to tolerance and diversity.

Courage Group
In our newly founded Courage Group, trainees take the lead. They decide which topics matter to them and which projects they want to carry out.
With the support of their learning mentors, our trainees independently shape the programme and plan activities that make their commitment to diversity and tolerance visible.
